Power Washing & Staining
Power washing and staining an existing fence can make it look pretty close to new. A stained fence can add a finished look to a yards appearance. The stain itself acts to protect the wood and extend the fence's life. The process is the following:
- The fence is power-washed to remove the dark brown/gray/black ick.
- The moisture content of the fence is allowed to return to a normal level.
- A coat of stain is applied to the freshly washed fence.
- A second coat of stain is recommended but not required.
- The benefit of the second coat is a consistent uniform finish throughout the fence line.
