Power Washing & Staining

Power washing and staining an existing fence can make it look pretty close to new.  A stained fence can add a finished look to a yards appearance.  The stain itself acts to protect the wood and extend the fence's life.  The process is the following:

  1. The fence is power-washed to remove the dark brown/gray/black ick.
  2. The moisture content of the fence is allowed to return to a normal level.
  3. A coat of stain is applied to the freshly washed fence.
  4. A second coat of stain is recommended but not required.
  5. The benefit of the second coat is a consistent uniform finish throughout the fence line.

A picture is worth a thousand words on this topic.
